KEELS CREEK STREAMBANK RESTORATION WINS ACEC/A AWARD

keelsFayetteville, AR. -March 20, 2013

– The Fayetteville engineering firm of McGoodwin, Williams & Yates (MWY), received an Engineering Excellence Award for the Keels Creek Restoration Project from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Arkansas (ACEC/A) at the Engineering Excellence Awards Gala in Little Rock on March 8.

The award-winning project, Keels Creek Streambank Restoration, was completed in 2012 for the Carroll-Boone Water District. Two consecutive years of unprecedented flooding had eroded the streambank to within three feet of the district’s water supply line. The extensive erosion created an emergency need to repair and stabilize the streambank to prevent flows from another .
