BATESVILLE 45-MGD SCREW PUMP LIFT STATION

SYSTEM-WIDE IMPROVEMENTS
Scope Of Work Opinion of Probable Cost: $1.74 Million Final Construction Cost: TBD
Schedule Under construction

Project Detail

MWY is consulting with the city of Batesville on system-wide improvement projects for the wastewater collection and treatment facilities (completion scheduled for 2014).

Currently under construction, a screw-pump lift station for the WWTP is a key component of the recommended improvements. The lift station is designed to accommodate three (3) 90-inch diameter screw pumps. Upon Completion, the lift station will have a firm capacity of 45.0 MGD.

Implementation of the design will allow for decommissioning of the city’s main lift station in the collection system. The use of higher efficiency screw pumps in the design of the new lift station qualified the city for grant money through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). Subsequently, with the assistance of MWY, the city was awarded $5 million in grant money.
