The original Gleason Water Treatment Plant was constructed in 1963 with expansion in 1967 and 1986 increasing the plant capacity to 15-MGD.
Most recently, MWY completed an expansion and upgrade project. The new Roger Q Mills facility went online in 2005. The upgraded existing facility was placed into service in February 2006. The total capacity of the plant is now 32-MGD.
The improvements include a sedimentation basin and filters rated at 8-MGD, a 12,800 sq. ft. Operations- Chemical Feed Building, a 2-MG treated water reservoir, and a new pump station. Upgrading the existing plant was also a part of the project.
