MWY provided engineering services for the construction of a composting facility complete with composting pad, curing pad, compost curing shed, vehicle storage building, and staff office for the city of Bentonville, Arkansas.

This state-of-the art facility has proven to be an outstanding success as the largest municipal composting operation in Northwest Arkansas, co-composts yard wastes, commercial tree trimmings and brush, and municipal sludge to produce Class A biosolids.

This product can be used by the public without restrictions, and the city is currently selling the compost it produces.

The Bentonville Composting Facility required full site planning services. The engineer in charge of this project, Jeff Richards, P.E., BCEE, is a principal with MWY. If our firm is selected for City Corporation’s compost facility project, Mr. Richards will serve as the project manager.
